Day 4
“And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.” — Acts 2:3–4 (ESV)
The church was not born in silence — it was born in fire. The same Spirit who fell on the disciples in the upper room is alive and moving today. That fire was never meant to go out. It was meant to spread, generation after generation, until the whole earth is filled with His glory. Fire purifies, fire consumes, and fire empowers. When God’s fire touches a believer, fear is broken, boldness rises, and supernatural power is released.
Too often, we try to live the Christian life without the fire of the Spirit — and the result is powerless religion. But God wants His people to burn with passion for His presence and with zeal for His mission. These 21 days are a cry for fresh fire, fresh boldness, and fresh empowerment. We cannot live today on yesterday’s flame.
Holy Spirit, we invite Your fire to fall on us today. Burn away compromise, fear, and apathy. Set our hearts ablaze with passion for Jesus. Baptize us afresh with Your power and boldness. Let tongues of fire rest on every person in this church. Lord, let miracles, signs, and wonders flow as You confirm Your Word. We declare that we are not a lukewarm people — we are a people of fire. Let this fire spread beyond our walls into our homes, schools, and workplaces until our city is set ablaze with Your glory. In Jesus’ name, amen.
